CPRE SURREY TO LAUNCH MAJOR NEW INITIATIVE ON FLY-TIPPING

CPRE SURREY TO LAUNCH MAJOR NEW INITIATIVE ON FLY-TIPPING

CPRE Surrey is planning a major new initiative in 2011 to highlight the problem of fly-tipping in the Surrey countryside.

Inspired by CPRE President Bill Bryson’s “Stop the Drop” campaign, the Surrey Branch is approaching potential partners across the county, including farmers, landowners and wildlife conservationists, to develop a campaign to encourage monitoring and reporting of fly-tipping incidents.

The aim is to make a comprehensive study of fly-tipping in the Surrey countryside and to identify effective long-term solutions to this growing problem.

We have a volunteer from within CPRE Surrey who will act as the coordinator for this project but we are still looking for other volunteers to help us with this important campaign.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Andy Smith, CPRE Surrey Branch Director, on 01372 362720, email cpre.surrey@btconnect.com.
