BAA has proposed that Heathrow be connected directly to Waterloo, Guildford and Reading
BAA has proposed that Heathrow be connected directly by train to London Waterloo, Guildford and Reading by means of a new southern link – Airtrack – running between Staines and Terminal 5. The track would run in a tunnel from the airport to the northern part of Staines Moor. Trains would then travel on the surface around the western side of the Moor to join the existing line to Windsor. In Staines, a new station would be constructed off Staines High Street, together with a new link to the Virginia Water railway...

The numbers for Surrey and particularly the London Fringe are up. The new target for the South East is 33,125 homes per year.
It could have been worse – after the original Regional Assembly target of 28,000 new houses a year in the South East, and the Panel Report’s recommendation to the Government of 32,000 following the “Examination in Public” in which CPRE participated, the new figure from the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) is 33,125

The South East Regional Assembly has recently consulted on modifications to its Minerals Strategy
