CPRE Public Meeting & Seminar

 

‘Water - the Looming Crisis’

 

Guest speakers will include: Graham Warren of CPRE Kent (author of 'A Water Resource Strategy for the South East'), Tim Murphy Vice Chairman of CPRE Surrey, and representatives from the Environment Agency and the water industry.

 

at Bookham Village Hall.

 

Doors open at 18.30 Supper 19.00.

Meeting starts 19.45. All welcome.

• What problems exist, or are expected, affecting water supply in Surrey?

• What has caused this?

• What changes can we expect to water supply in the short and medium term?

• What is known about the effects of climate change, and housing and commercial development on water supply and demand in the South East?

• What impact would water shortages have on the lives of residents, the economy and the natural environment for Surrey?

• What plans do the water companies have?
